در ذهن آگاه به وقوع پیوسته و گاه ریشه در ناخودآگاه دارد…
در هر بخشی از هنر زیبا یا کاربردی طراحی حکم اصلی و به تعبیری الفبای گفتمان بین ذهن هنرمند و مخاطب است… حتی گاه مخاطب میتواند ذهن خود طراح باشد و گاه دیگری.
به باور من در هنرهای موسوم به معاصر نه تنها نقش طراحی کمرنگ نگشته، بلکه به میزان قابل توجهی افزایش نیز یافته است.
طراحی عینیت گرا راه ورودیست به گونههای دیگر طراحی که در این مجموعه، نگارنده گزیدهای از آثار خودنگارههای خود را که حاصل تحولات گوناگون دیدگاهی هنرمند در یک دههی اخیر بوده را گردهم آورده است.
“Drawing is the foundation of art.
It takes place within the conscious mind and at times has its roots in the unconscious.
In every field of art, whether fine or applied, drawing is the essential principle — the very alphabet of dialogue between the artist’s mind and the audience.
At times, the audience may be the artist’s own mind, and at other times, it may be another.
In my view, within what is called contemporary art, the role of drawing has not diminished; rather, it has increased significantly. Objective drawing serves as the entry point to other forms of drawing.
In this collection, I have brought together a selection of my self-portraits, which reflect the diverse transformations of the artist’s vision over the past decade.”
