از هنر تا سراب

این مجموعه در شرایطی شکل گرفت که تقریباً هیچ امکاناتی نداشتم؛ فقط مداد بود و کاغذ، در دل دوران سربازی، داخل پادگان.
برای من، این کارها فقط طراحی نیستند، بلکه یادآور روزهایی هستند که کنار همخدمتیهایم گذشت—کسانی که بعضیهایشان در مرزهای غربی ایران کشته شدند و دیگر هیچوقت برنگشتند.
این مجموعه برای من یک روایت تلخِ ضد جنگ است.
روایتی از خفقان، از گیر افتادن در وضعیتی که انتخابش نکرده بودم، و فاصلهای که هر روز بیشتر بین من و خواستههایم ایجاد میشد.
در همان زمان، فکر میکردم که قرار است وارد دانشگاه شوم؛
فکر میکردم این یک راه نجات است.
اما کمکم آن تصویر تبدیل شد به چیزی شبیه سراب—
چیزی که از دور واقعی به نظر میرسد، اما وقتی به آن نزدیک میشوی، ناپدید میشود.
عدم موفقیتم در ثبتنام دانشگاه، این حس را شدیدتر کرد.
و من، که باور داشتم میتوانم از آن وضعیت بیرون بیایم، ناگهان خودم را دوباره در همان پادگان دیدم.
«از هنر تا سراب» برای من دقیقاً همین فاصله است؛
فاصله بین آنچه فکر میکردم ممکن است، و آنچه واقعاً اتفاق افتاد.
From Art to Sarab (Mirage)

This series was created under severe limitations—using only pencil and paper during my military service, inside the barracks.
For me, these drawings are not just works on paper. They are traces of lived moments alongside fellow soldiers—some of whom were later killed while serving on the western borders of Iran and never returned.
This body of work carries a bitter, anti-war narrative.
It reflects a sense of suffocation, of being trapped in a situation I did not choose, and of a growing distance between myself and what I had hoped for.
At the time, I believed I would enter university.
I saw it as a way out—an opening, a form of escape.
But gradually, that image turned into something else: a mirage.
Something that appears real from a distance, but dissolves as you move closer.
Failing to enroll in university intensified this feeling.
I had believed in a future beyond that condition, yet I found myself returning to the same barracks once again.
From Art to Sarab (Mirage) is, for me, the distance between what I believed could happen and what actually did.
